Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional except on the Woodlands Edition, where it's standard. All models use a hybrid powertrain featuring a four-cylinder engine and an electric motor for a combined output of 245 horsepower. That Toyota is taking a wildly different path with its minivan than other manufacturers is certain. And the second row is neither removable nor collapsible in the Sienna. You will, however, sacrifice some acceleration relative to its V6-powered rivals. And the driver assist features are genuinely helpful, which isn't always the case. (Swipe a foot to open the rear doors!) The infotainment interface lets you interact with it using both the touchscreen and physical buttons. We're impressed with its excellent visibility, ease of entry, and its pragmatic features. The Sienna doesn't surrender family-centered practicality to earn its stellar fuel economy either.
